BIR ORUS and eFPS: Help and Guides
Quick answer
ORUS is the BIR's online system for registration: you can apply for a TIN, update your registration details, and get your Certificate of Registration, depending on your taxpayer type. eFPS is a separate BIR system for filing and paying returns online, used mainly by businesses required to use it. Getting a TIN is free.
Before you start
- A valid email address and mobile number.
- A valid government ID (scan or photo).
- For employees: employer details, as the employer may register you instead.
- Never apply for a second TIN. Having more than one TIN is not allowed and can be fined.
