How to Register on BIR ORUS

Quick answer

Go to orus.bir.gov.ph, create an account with your email, activate it through the email link, then log in and choose the TIN application or registration service you need. Registration and the TIN are free. If you already have a TIN, do not apply for another one.

Before you start

Your email and mobile number.
A valid ID with photo, scanned or photographed clearly.
Your personal details: full name, birth date, address.
Your taxpayer type (employee, self-employed, one-time, etc.).

Create the account yourself. Do not let anyone keep your ORUS password.

Steps

1. Open https://orus.bir.gov.ph/
Check the address bar.
2. Tap Register or Create account
3. Choose the account type that fits you
4. Enter your email and set a password
Follow the rules shown.
5. Agree to the terms and complete the captcha
6. Open your email
Tap the activation link.
7. Log in to ORUS
8. Choose the service, for example TIN application
9. Fill in your details and upload your ID
10. Submit
Note the reference or application number.
11. Wait for the BIR result by email
Your TIN may be shown in your ORUS account.

If it does not work

Error messages and problems, and what to do.

No activation email	check spam. Use the resend option.
"Activation link expired"	request a new link.
"TIN already exists" or "Possible duplicate"	you may already have a TIN. Ask your RDO. Do not apply again.
