Quick answer
PhilSys is the system behind the Philippine National ID. Online, you can book or start registration, check the status of your card, and get your ePhilID, the digital or printed version of your ID. There is no member account with a password. You use your transaction slip number (TRN) or your PhilSys details instead. Registration and the ID are free.
Before you start
- Your transaction slip from registration. It has your TRN (Transaction Reference Number).
- Your mobile number or email given at registration.
- A phone with a camera, if you will use the eGov PH app.
- A stable internet connection.
If it does not work

Frequently asked questions
Is the National ID free?
Yes. Registration, the card and the ePhilID are free. Do not pay anyone who offers to speed it up.
Do I need a PhilSys account?
No. PhilSys has no member login or password. You use your TRN or PhilSys Card Number (PCN).
What is the ePhilID?
It is the printed or digital version of your National ID. It is valid as proof of identity.
How long before my card arrives?
It varies a lot, from months to over a year. Check your status online and use the ePhilID while you wait.
Can I register online for the full process?
No. You still need to go to a registration center for your photo, fingerprints and iris scan.
