PhilSys and ePhilID Errors: Causes and Fixes
Quick answer
Most PhilSys errors come from a mistyped TRN, a record that is not yet processed, or an old mobile number for the OTP. Check your TRN digit by digit, wait a few days, and try off-peak hours. If your mobile number changed, you must update it at a registration center.
Before you start
- Your transaction slip (TRN).
- The phone with your registered mobile number.
- A valid ID, if you will visit a center.
Steps
1. Try this routine before anything else
2. Check you are on philsys.gov.ph
Fake sites exist.
3. Close other tabs
Use Chrome or another updated browser.
4. Clear your browser cache, or open a private window
5. Try at night or early morning, when fewer people use the site
6. If the site does not load at all, check our status note on the PhilSys hub
7. Still stuck? Call 1388 or visit a registration center
If it does not work

| Fix | wait 5 minutes, check signal, request again. Update your number at a center if it changed. |

| Fix | request a new OTP and enter it quickly. |
| Cause | many failed tries. |
| Fix | wait at least 1 hour before trying again. |
| Cause | blocked scripts or ad blocker. |
| Fix | turn off the ad blocker for the site, or use another browser. |
| Cause | you registered before. |
| Fix | do not register again. Check your status or call the hotline. |
| Cause | card given to someone else, or wrong address. |
| Fix | ask your household, barangay and local post office, then report to PhilSys. |

| Fix | request an update at a registration center with supporting documents. |
