Final pay, or back pay, is what your employer still owes you when you leave: unpaid salary, prorated 13th month pay, unused leave converted to cash and separation pay if due. How this was computed
Final pay = unpaid salary (daily rate × days) + prorated 13th month pay (monthly salary × months worked this year ÷ 12) + unused service incentive leave converted to cash (up to 5 days) + separation pay if due − deductions. Daily rate = monthly salary × 12 ÷ 313. It should be released within 30 days of separation.

Worked example
Monthly salary ₱ 20,000, daily rate ₱ 766.77. Unpaid salary for 10 days: ₱ 7,667.73. Prorated 13th month pay for 6 months: ₱ 10,000.00. Unused leave (5 days): ₱ 3,833.87. Estimated final pay: ₱ 21,501.60.
How it works
The calculator converts your monthly salary into a daily rate (313 paid days a year for a 6-day week), pays the unpaid days, adds 13th month pay for the months worked this year (monthly salary × months ÷ 12), converts up to 5 days of unused service incentive leave into cash, adds separation pay if the reason entitles you to it, and subtracts deductions.

Daily rate = monthly salary × 12 ÷ 313. It should be released within 30 days of separation.
Frequently asked questions
When should final pay be released?
Within 30 days from the date of separation, unless a company policy or agreement is more favorable, under DOLE Labor Advisory No. 06, series of 2020.
What is included in final pay?
Unpaid salary, prorated 13th month pay, cash conversion of unused service incentive leave, separation pay if due and other amounts in your contract, minus lawful deductions.
Do I get final pay if I resigned?
Yes. Employees who resign are entitled to final pay. Separation pay is usually not included unless your contract or company policy provides it.
How many leave days are converted to cash?
The law grants at least 5 days of service incentive leave a year after one year of service. The calculator counts up to that minimum; your company may convert more.
