Worked example

A salary of ₱ 20,000 a month for 12 months is ₱ 240,000.00 of basic salary. Divided by 12, the 13th month pay is ₱ 20,000.00, fully within the ₱ 90,000 tax-free limit.

How it works

Add up the basic salary you actually earned from January to December, then divide by 12. If you worked only part of the year, only those months count. Overtime, holiday pay, night differential and allowances are left out unless your contract or collective agreement includes them. You can enter one salary for all months or a different salary for each month.
