How to Get an OEC in Taiwan

OFWs in Taiwan get the OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) online through DMW Online Services. If you go back to the same employer and jobsite, you may get an OEC exemption. For problems or a new employer, go to the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), formerly POLO, in Taipei, Taichung or Kaohsiung.
Requirements
- Valid Philippine passport.
- Valid ARC and work permit.
- Employment contract or proof of current employment.
- DMW Online Services account.
- Active OWWA membership, or pay it with the OEC.
Steps
1. Log in to DMW Online Services
2. Update your employer and jobsite in your profile
3. Choose Balik-Manggagawa and check if you are exempt
4. If not exempt, book an MWO appointment or pay online
5. Save your OEC or exemption number and QR code
6. Show it at the Philippine airport before your flight back
