OEC for OFWs in the USA: Who Needs It

In the US, the OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) mainly matters for OFWs on Philippine-processed work contracts, like some nurses, teachers and seasonal workers. Requirements
- Valid Philippine passport.
- Valid US work visa.

- Active OWWA membership, or pay it with the OEC.
Steps
1. Check if you are an OFW under DMW rules
2. Log in to DMW Online Services
3. Update your employer and jobsite
4. Choose Balik-Manggagawa and check for exemption
5. If not exempt, book an MWO appointment or pay online
6. Save the OEC or exemption number and QR code
7. Show it at the Philippine airport when you fly back to the US
