Civil Service Exam Application 2026: How to Apply

Steps
Online
1. Check the CSC exam announcement for 2026 on csc.gov.ph or your CSC regional office page
2. If your region accepts online filing, use only the link given by CSC
3. Fill in your details
Use the exact name on your PSA birth certificate.
4. Upload your photo and ID as asked
5. Pay using the method CSC lists, and keep the receipt
6. Wait for CSC to confirm your application and give your exam venue or notice
Walk-in
1. Download and print the application form from the CSC website, or get one at the CSC office
2. Fill it in, attach your photos, and sign
3. Go to the CSC regional or field office during the filing period
Bring your valid ID, original + photocopy.
4. Pay the exam fee and get your receipt
5. Keep the part of the form or receipt that CSC gives back
You need it to check your venue and on exam day.

- Walk-in filing: same day, if all papers are complete.
- Online filing: CSC confirms after review.

Common problems and fixes
Filing slots already full
Some offices limit slots. Go early in the filing period, or try another field office in your region.
Photo not accepted
Follow the exact size, background and name tag rules in the announcement.
Name on ID and form do not match
Use the name on your PSA birth certificate. Bring a PSA marriage certificate if you use a married name.
Missed the filing period
Wait for the next exam announcement. Late applications are not accepted.
Applied for the wrong level
Ask the CSC office right away. Changes after filing may not be allowed.
Fake "reviewer centers" offering slots
Only CSC takes applications. Never pay anyone to "reserve" a slot.
